Banjar Hot Springs

Banjar Hot Springs is one of the famous tourist spots of Bali. It is situated at 5kms South-West from the Lovina coast of North Bali. The locals also call it Air Panas Banjar. Over the time, this centuries-old hot springs got modernized after the implementation of few upgrades. The water in this hot spring is known for its therapeutic and recreational experience because it contains a higher sulphuric content. It can cure different skin problems and rheumatic ailments. It is not just healthier, but at the same time bathing here is fun as well. The water has a pleasant temperature of 37 degree Celsius. If you don’t want to jump into the springs, then you can enjoy the breath-taking sights of the lush tropical gardens. At Komala Tirta Restaurant, you can have a top view of all these hot springs. You can even shop some mementos at the bunch of art shops located outside. It comprises of four main bathing pools. The central and largest bathing pool also has a restaurant where you can have a tasty lunch at a reasonable price. Besides, you will find small shops selling snacks and soft-drinks around the steps. There are also restrooms, lockers, and changing rooms which you can use according to convenience. Moreover, spa and massage facility is also available here to rejuvenate your body. You can also visit the small temple located at the place where the water well up from the ground.

Uluwatu Temple

Uluwatu Temple is another sacred destination in Bali much famous for its sea facing sunset view. Uluwatu Temple is also known as Pura Uluwatu is one of the oldest visiting sites in Bali, which date back to the 11th century. Situated at the cliff edge above 250 feet in the Indian ocean, in Uluwatu of the south Kuta province, this spiritual point is the best place for those looking for some quiet moments. With five other temples considered as an important spiritual destination of Bali, this temple is surely the place for the attainment of inner peace.

This temple encloses a rich historical and mythical facts of its existence. The name Uluwatu in Balinese composed of two words Ulu means land top and Watu stands for rock. According to the believers, Majapahit monk Mpu Kunturan was the person who commenced the construction of this magnificent temple. However, it was Javan priest, Dhang Hyang Dwijendra designated as the actual draftsman of this temple, who attained Moksha here. The main three Hindu deities, Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva unite to become one. The royal Jro Kutta family is the care taker of this temple who celebrates its grand anniversary, twice a year. The most favorable time duration to visit this beautiful spiritual attraction is when the sun was about to set. Tourist, wearing decent clothes, can enter this temple after paying the nominal entry charge. The temple is also an inhabitation of a large group of monkeys, often create trouble for the visitors, therefore, to lure them it is advisable to carry peanuts and fruits.
